Gallatin River
The Gallatin
The Gallatin is a great choice right now. The regular winter fare is working, including Golden stones, princes and midge larva. There is some dry fly fishing on the overcast days. You will want to concentrate on the slower runs where the majority of the trout are stacked up. The takes are very light so be ready to set on everything. 1-4pm has been the best for dries, a small parachute adams or griffiths gnat fools them 99% of the time.
