The past few months I have sat in on a few of these committee meetings. They move awfully slow, but they seem to be making some progress on coming up with some suggestions for the Fish and Wildlife commission. It will be interesting to see where this leads.
Will they want to limit commercial use? Will they want to close sections of the river for “locals” only? Will they impose new licenses for people wanting to fish the Madison? These are all ideas that the committee is considering. Now is the time to express your thoughts. If you follow this link, you can voice your thoughts to the committee. Whichever way you lean on this issue, voice your opinion. It is important that they hear from everyone, not just the residents in the area.
