As total beginners, we weren’t sure what to expect, but he immediately made us feel comfortable and capable.

He was patient, knowledgeable, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand without ever feeling overwhelming. We learned a ton, had a great time, and even managed to catch a ton fish along the way.

Dane created such a fun, relaxed environment that made the whole day really enjoyable. We’d absolutely recommend him to anyone—especially if you’re new to fly fishing and want a positive, memorable introduction.

I think it's the beginning of a lot of great times ahead. We've already begun researching the equipment. Can't wait for more lessons so you will be proud to have us in your boat. LOL. Glad you had a good season. We would like to go on a guided trip with you again in the same area next season.

Just wanted to thank you again for taking us out Fly Fishing on such a crazy blustery day. Thanks for your patience and all the great tips and techniques you shared with us and of course hanging on to our dog Guinness for the entire day. This was not our first guided fly fishing trip and my husband and I have been fly fishing for quite some time. I cannot express how happy we were to choose Montana Troutwranglers as our go to when we are in Montana. This was our second, multi day, guided fishing experience with Dane and his crew. Thanks to his knowledge of the area, fishing experience, and downright genuine kindness, we not only hooked onto some great fish, but learned a lot and had a blast. You WILL learn a great deal fly fishing with Dane and will have a great time. We also fished with Burt, who also showed us an incredible time and is a master behind the boat. We look forward to fishing with these two gentleman again, hopefully soon!
